A wholesale storefront system, bought once

A Revenue engine is the whole operating package for how a category buys: a complete storefront pattern, the modules that category needs, the AI workflows that build and work it, and one measurable performance loop — activated once through Shopify, with no recurring subscription. Eleven engines sit in the library today and none of them is wholesale. This is the twelfth, and what it would contain.

Charge, approved in Shopify

Engines are one-time application charges — no recurring subscription, and nothing is written before Shopify verifies the charge

Every figure above describes the Revenue engine library as it ships today, for Shopify DTC and marketplace-style brands. No price, package or estimated impact is published for a wholesale engine, because none exists.

Module vs engine

A module is one mechanic. An engine is the whole system.

Revenue modules are single storefront capabilities you switch on — volume bundles, a reorder cart, trade offers, a quick-order bar. An engine is the operating package for an entire way of buying: it connects a visual storefront pattern, the right modules, AI workflows and one measurable performance loop, and you activate it once from the Revenue engine library. That distinction ships today; only the wholesale entry is missing.

  • A visual storefront pattern — a complete Shopify OS 2.0 theme, or a bundle Creator installs into the theme you already run
  • The right modules for the way the category buys, configured in Comver with one Style skin across all of them
  • AI workflows — Creator publishes engine-pattern product pages; Callio and Copilot work the storefront the engine builds
  • One measurable performance loop — Overview, the CRO score and Copilot; modules counted by discount code or cart token

What it would contain

Four parts, written for buyers not shoppers

The same four parts every engine has, specified for wholesale. Nothing here is purchasable; it is the shape the engine would take, published so you can tell us what is missing from it.

A trade catalog pattern

Dense category and product pages built around specification rather than persuasion: pack sizes, volume tiers, minimum order quantities, lead times, downloadable spec sheets, certificates, and a quote path beside the order path.

The modules a catalog needs

Volume bundles, the reorder cart with tier progress, rep-approved trade offers, standing orders, verified-buyer proof and the quick-order bar — the six revenue modules pointed at accounts.

Learn more

The AI workflows around it

Creator writing spec-grade product pages, Callio phoning the accounts behind them, Copilot ranking ageing quotes and slipping accounts — every one of them a shipped agent today, working DTC data.

Learn more

One performance loop

A single measured loop rather than a dashboard per app: the CRO score on the catalog, Copilot’s brief, and module attribution counted from the orders those modules touched.

The library today

Eleven engines. One list, one status model, one activation path.

This is what a merchant sees in Comver right now: search by category, capability or engine, filter All 11 / Available 2 / Coming soon 9. A wholesale engine would arrive here, as a twelfth card with the same status model — not as a separate product.

Shopify revenue → Revenue engines

The portfolio hero states the activation path — Package → Shopify approval → Engine live — and the status of your engine. Underneath, the library: search, the availability filter and the engine cards. Roadmap engines draw their thumbnail faded and carry a lock instead of a button.

The Commerce Engine is the nearest thing that exists

The flagship Commerce Engine is the general-commerce storefront system: a marketplace pattern with a departments mega menu, fulfilment locator, product rails, faceted collections and a dense product page carrying a computed arrival date, an assurance strip, payment badges and questions and answers. It is tuned by your own data rather than a category template, which makes it the closest fit for a catalog that sells to businesses on a standard Shopify storefront — but it is a DTC and marketplace system, and it knows nothing about companies, price lists or quotes.

  • A dense, line-item-led product page — the pattern a trade catalog wants, without the trade objects behind it
  • The theme declares the --comver-* contract, so every Comver module and Callio’s launcher render in the same look automatically
  • A matching account page served through the Shopify App Proxy
  • Available through the package flow and Comver Sales · +15–38% CR estimated — the DTC range printed on its card, not a wholesale claim

Activation

Package → Shopify approval → Engine live

The path a wholesale engine would follow is already built and already used. It is one controlled flow, and nothing is written to your store before Shopify has verified the charge.

  1. 1

    Compare in the library

Open Shopify revenue → Revenue engines, search by category or capability, filter by availability, and read each card’s included modules and estimated range before choosing.

  2. 2

    Choose the operating package

Packages are per engine: the Beauty Engine offers Basic and Scale self-serve and Pro through sales. A wholesale engine would publish its own packages when it exists — none are published today.

  3. 3

    Approve once in Shopify

Shopify shows a one-time application charge. Comver verifies its name, status and amount against Shopify before recording anything, so an unapproved charge activates nothing.

  4. 4

    Engine live

The card reads Active with Change package and Deactivate; Overview shows Revenue engine · Active; Billing shows the purchased tier. Deactivating flips the status and preserves your configuration — it does not refund the charge.

What is not built

A storefront pattern is not a B2B platform

Being straight about the gap: an engine can ship a catalog that looks and behaves like a trade catalog long before the platform underneath it understands companies. Both halves have to exist before a wholesale engine is worth buying.

Ships

The engine machinery

Library, status model, one-time Shopify charge with verification, theme upload or Creator bundle install, and the modules an engine bundles

Needed

The account layer

Companies, buyers, agreed price lists and quotes — Shopify B2B (Plus) APIs that Comver does not read today

None

Published price or impact

No package, no price and no estimated range is printed for a wholesale engine, because it has never been implemented for a store

Activation in the shipped product records the purchase and flips the engine’s status; the storefront itself is delivered by theme upload, a Creator bundle install or module embeds plus the package’s services. That is true of the engines available today and would be true of a wholesale one.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

No. The library holds eleven engines today — the flagship Commerce Engine and ten category engines, of which two are purchasable and nine are marked coming soon. A wholesale engine is a proposal described on this page: no package, no price, no activation. Join the waitlist and we will tell you when that changes.

A module is one storefront capability you switch on — volume bundles, a reorder cart, a quick-order bar. An engine is the whole operating package for a way of buying: a complete storefront pattern, the right modules, AI workflows and one measurable performance loop, activated once from the library.

The flagship Commerce Engine. Its marketplace pattern — departments menu, product rails, faceted collections and a dense product page — is the nearest fit for a catalog with many SKUs. It is still a DTC and marketplace system: it has no companies, price lists, quotes or purchase orders.

An engine is a one-time purchase approved through Shopify, not a subscription — the Beauty Engine, for example, publishes Basic at $11,500 and Scale at $14,500, with Pro agreed through sales. No package or price is published for a wholesale engine, and we will not print one before it exists.

There are two paths in the shipped product, and a wholesale engine would use the same ones: upload the engine’s complete Shopify OS 2.0 theme, or let Creator install the engine bundle into the theme you already run when you publish a product page — sections, snippets, assets and a template clone, with no manual theme deploy.

Deactivating flips the engine to Inactive and preserves your configuration, so you can reactivate or change package later. It does not refund the one-time Shopify charge — the shipped product says so on the card, and this page repeats it rather than glossing over it.

Because the shape is worth arguing about before it is code. The four parts on this page — catalog pattern, modules, AI workflows, performance loop — are what a wholesale engine would package. If your business needs a fifth, the waitlist form is the fastest way to tell us.

Comver AI Commerce: the six revenue modules, the five agents and the two purchasable engines, on a Shopify storefront. If your trade buyers already order through Shopify with flat pricing, most of the machinery on this page is available to you today.
